State Street Ballet performing their new ballet
version of Georges Bizet’s Carmen Saturday, November 5,
8:00 pm Tickets $45/$30 Carmen is a vivid and passionate story of lust,
treachery and fate based on the fabled temptress of Seville. A
ballet of dramatic intensity and blazing emotion, it is set to the
beautiful and richly evocative music of Georges Bizet and
choreographed by William Soleau. This passionate story has captured
the imagination of audiences around the
world. Bolero will feature the raw energy of
Ravel’s mesmerizing score. Nous Sommes is the
signature work of Jimmy Gamonet set to Songs of Overgne by
composer Cantoube and sung by Kiri Pekanowa.
This program
has been underwritten by the generosity of Leni Fe Bland, Patricia
Gregory and the Peninsula Foundation.

The Gramercy Trio Sunday, November 13, 2:00
pm Tickets $45/$30 The Gramercy Trio will mark their Los
Angeles debut at the CSUN Performing Arts Center. They have toured
throughout the country presenting concerts and residencies for
audiences of all ages. The Trio, featuring pianist Randall
Hodgkinson, violinist Sharan Leventhal and cellist Jonathan Miller
will perform a program featuring Mozart, Brahms and the world
premiere of a newly commissioned work, Piano Trio
by Nicholas Underhill.
This performance of "Piano Trio" by
Nicholas Underhill is sponsored by the American Composers Forum
through its Encore Program, supporting repeat performances of new
works.

Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol Friday,
December 9, 8:00 pm Saturday, December 10, 8:00 pm Sunday,
December 11, 2:00 pm Tickets $30/$20 (Children/Students
$10) A Christmas Carol is back by popular
demand! This will surely be a joyful second haunting by the Ghosts
of Christmas: Past, Present and Future, at the CSUN Performing Arts
Center. A family favorite that is beloved by one and
all.

New York Metropolitan Opera Star, Angela M.
Brown with ‘Met’ Baritone Gregg Baker Sunday, March 26, 4:00
pm Tickets $75/$50 (reception tickets available) Dean’s
Circle Spring Opera Gala presents Angela M. Brown in Concert.
The New York Times exclaimed, “At last an Aida…” The CSUN
Performing Arts Center booked Miss Brown last fall immediately
following her Metropolitan Opera House triumph in Aida. This
will be her first performance in California since her smash hit at
the Met! The program will include opera classics, the music of
George Gershwin and a few special surprises. A concert that is
certain to deliver unsurpassed singing.

Parsons Dance Company Saturday, April 22,
8:00 pm Tickets $45/$30 The Parsons Dance Company is
comprised of nine full-time dancers and maintains a repertory of
over 70 works (20 with commissioned scores) by Mr. Parsons. A
primary goal of the Company is to allow Mr. Parsons to create as
many new works as possible and to commission original musical scores
and theatrical designs from leading artists as well as introducing
new dances created by members of the Company.

Dean’s Circle will once again present another of the great talents
of our age.

rates available). Student tickets are available for $15 with current
proper ID (sorry, not available online). There is a “Choose your
own” series available when three different events are purchased

The Performing Arts Center is located on Zelzah
Avenue, between Prairie and Plummer Streets in the Student Union
Complex. Patrons should use Parking Lot G4 and are required to
purchase a $4 parking permit for all performances on the CSUN
campus.
