LINDA EDER
MAKES CSUN DEBUT IN
2 SOLDOUT PERFORMACES

Northridge, CA: In what has become THE MOST ANTICIPATED CONCERTS OF THE YEAR, Broadway leading lady and recording star, Linda Eder will play to two sold out houses at the Performing Arts Center at California State University, Northridge. Produced by LTM Artists and presented by ArtsNorthridge, Linda Eder has shattered the house records for her evening performance on Saturday, March 5 and matinee performance on Sunday March 6. This will be her only set of concerts in California this season. Linda recently completed her sold-out engagement at the Palace Theatre in New York City last December to critical praise and cheering audiences.

Linda Eder’s story has a fairy-tale quality to it; the ease that seems to dominate her ascension is testimony to her gifts. She has been called “simply one of the most spell-binding singers of our time” by the New York Daily News. Her first true national exposure was via “Star Search,” where she had an unprecedented 13-weeks of success. She created the leading role of Lucy in Jekyll & Hyde, which went on a 35-city tour before opening on Broadway in 1997. USA Today reviewed the Broadway version of Jekyll & Hyde, describing Linda as “a captivating presence and a Streisand-esque singing voice that elevates everything it touches.” Linda’s memorable performance as Lucy earned her the Theatre World Award for Best Broadway Debut as well as the Drama Desk and Outer Critics’ Circle Award Nominations for Best Actress in a Musical.

Her solo albums: “LINDA EDER” (RCA), “AND SO MUCH MORE” (Angel), “IT’S TIME” (Atlantic), “CHRISTMAS STAYS THE SAME” (Atlantic), “GOLD” (Atlantic), “BROADWAY MY WAY” (ATLANTIC) and “STORYBOOK (ANGEL/EMI) have won Linda critical and popular accolades. A DVD version of Linda’s holiday concert, taped live during her Bravo TV special in 2001, “CHRISTMAS STAYS THE SAME” (Rhino), was released this fall.

Sometime in between recording and performing across the country, she realized a life-long dream: Linda performed three sold-out concerts at Carnegie Hall to what The New York Times described as a “thunderously adoring audience.” Constant comparisons to Judy Garland, Ella Fitzgerald, Barbra Streisand, Celine Dion and other great voices have catapulted Linda into an elite group of singers and onto television and radio shows.
